Tharu Village Cultural Walk
The Tharu have lived in this part of the Terai for centuries, and the village a 10-minute walk from the lodge is the real thing — mud-walled houses, working farms, kids on the way to school. This isn't a staged tour. It's a slow walk with one of our team who'll show you their auntie's kitchen, the rice store, the way the doors are painted, the way the cattle come home at dusk.
Highlights
- traditional Tharu architecture · a real working farm, not a museum · optional cooking session add-on · small group, often just you · supports the village directly
